The Results Are In

While Amy was sadly not returned to the school board this time around, she’d like to thank the hundreds of people who did vote for her for their support. Although she may no longer be on the school board, you can be sure that she’ll still be a driving force for bettering education in our community, just from a different side of the conference table.

The election day is tomorrow today(!): Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Be sure to get out and place your vote for Amy!

Beloit Daily News Endorsement

Amy is pleased to have won the endorsement of the Beloit Daily News for her candidacy for the school board. Here’s what they had to say:

Oselio was appointed to the post last year when Kimberly Thompson left the board to move out of Beloit. She has been faulted in some circles for being quiet and taking a back seat to others in her initial months. That criticism is wrongly based. Oselio has taken the time to listen and learn, rather than spout off. She is taking a more active role as her knowledge base has grown. The result is a thoughtful, articulate, well prepared board member who has clearly blossomed in the job. Her background, too, is valuable, with expertise in health care and issues pertaining to children’s well-being.
